This series of lessons and articles was initiated as teaching material for local Wiccan Temples and prison inmates. Then they were inherited by Pagan Federation/painne de federation Canada and then Pagan Pastoral Outreach (1990s) – Rhyannan was involved in creating both. With her background in World Religions, she then began writing for (what used to be) Green Spirit UK – combining Wicca, an exegesis of biblical material (OT & NT and gnostic gospels), Creation-centred Spirituality, new cosmology and physics, and her experience as a Quaker-Wiccan. After a couple of decades, she compiled it all into Wa/ondering the Wheel as her legacy project.

The Sabbats, as a whole, encompass all of the major elements of Wiccan. Therefore, they are an excellent medium for delving into Wicca – but also can easily be extended to include philosophies, ideas, etc. from other traditions or explorations. Each Sabbat has its own page in the menu at the top right – including the whole of the Wicca 101 Sabbat lesson program. The lessons are based on the Kairosean Kithen tradition, which is a Universalist Wiccan Tradition. It's basic tenets and principles are on a separate page.
The Sabbat lessons are divided into 8 themes, in two volumes – Sabbats Themselves (Wicca 101), Godde*, Tools, Rituals, Mythology, 'In the Psyche', 'In the World', and Evolution. You can access them from the links on this page (Contents) or by visiting that Sabbat's page. However, on the individual Sabbat pages, the lessons are ordered by date.

The Godde theme looks at different ways that They can be understood. The Tools theme reviews the main tools in Wicca and how they are used. The Ritual theme goes through all of the major elements of a ritual and explains how they are used. The Mythology theme looks at Godde myths across the world – each one relating to a particular Sabbat. The 'In the Psyche' considers what is actually happening in Wiccan practice and why/how it works. The 'In the World' theme relates an element of that Sabbat to the rest of the world. And finally, the Evolution theme takes a look at some possible approaches to understanding the past of Gaians and what might be needed in the future.
The third volume includes all of the other pages – Divine Feminine, Pagan/Christian Cross-over articles, Tarot and Supplementary.
